Denture Repairs | Relines

In the event of dentures suffering fracture or damage, we offer repairs to restore back to their original condition. We’d be pleased to assess them for you and advise you on how to avoid future damage. Often, our clinic can provide these procedures the very same day.

When bone and tissue change due to shrinkage, realigning can be required. Potential causes might be:

  • Following immediate dentures
  • Loss of supporting teeth
  • Loss of Weight
  • Bone loss in either jaw
  • Illness or disease

In order to provide a realign procedure, existing teeth, bite position and any acrylic base must not be worn, stained and be in good condition. An impression of oral tissue inside your denture will be taken to create a working model. A correct fit will be created by adding new acrylic base material. Your denture’s appearance will not change. It must be noted that denturists in most cases can’t test rebased dentures, similar to relining. Rebasing is different in that it replaces the pink-acrylic denture base material while the teeth stay in their places.

Rebasing may be necessary for:

  • Broken dentures
  • Weakened or old base
